The PROCESS

    • The details of my role — purpose, responsibilities, & timeline — are clearly established.

    • I complete an audit of operations, financial systems, & workforce culture.

    • While maintaining day-to-day needs, I meet with staff, board members and various stakeholders to determine core weaknesses of the organization while identifying areas that require immediate attention.

    • I work closely with the board to review Evaluation findings; we create long-term goals and develop a integrative strategy accordingly.

    • The board builds a profile of the leader required to drive the future envisioned.

    • We work collectively to achieve our identified objectives. We document successes and obstacles while ramping up communication with stakeholders to build buy-in & momentum.

    • I work to prepare the staff and operations for a seamless handoff/on-boarding for the next permanent director. 

    • I provide the board and next director with a comprehensive report of my time with the organization: challenges faced, accomplishments and current state of affairs.
